Principal Systems Engineer Intelligent Transportation Systems La Palma, CA Opportunity Are you thrilled by the challenges in the deployment of Connected and Autonomous Vehicles? Do you possess the vision to design and implement solutions to those challenges? Parsons is under contract to deploy Connected Vehicle technologies and is seeking experienced staff to join our team in La Palma, CA.
We are currently seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join in the architectural design as well as subsequent implementation, test and operation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) solutions: including connected vehicles, autonomous vehicles, distributed communications, roadside sensors/controllers/messaging, and central processing/command centers.
If you are our ideal candidate, you will have extensive experience in architecture/design of complex distributed systems.
You must be organized and effective in communicating plans, requirements, results and information to customers at a variety of management levels and technical backgrounds.
You will have minimum of 15+ years of related experience required, post graduate degree preferred.

Qualifications and
Bachelor's Degree in Transportation, Systems, or Engineering required.
Masters Degree in Transportation, Systems, or Engineering preferred.
Minimum 15+ years of related work experience required.
Experience in Architecture work in distributed ITS systems preferred.
2+ years in Connected Vehicle ITS work experience preferred Experience in systems architecture design/development for autonomous systems and connected vehicles required Thorough knowledge of IP networking and secure wireless communications required Extensive experience integrating distributed communications systems (e.
V2I: Vehicle-to-Infrastructure) required Proven ability to work in a distributed team environment, including customers and suppliers required Knowledge of Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC) required Knowledge of Transit Signal Priority (TSP) required Hands-on experience with integrating DSRC, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems(ADAS), Ramp Meter Controllers, Video Detection System, and Changeable Message Sign Controllers highly desirable Experience in USDOT's Architecture Reference for Cooperative and Intelligent Transportation (ARC-IT) framework Knowledge of Smart Cities Knowledge of USDOT Security Credential Management (SCMS)

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
